BIOGRAPHY                                                             JEREMY W. LUNA, M.ED.
Jeremy Luna, 40, has been Principal of Taylor Elementary School since being appointed to the post in March of 2014.

Mr. Luna previously served as Assistant Principal at Taylor High School for 6 years and most recently as the Principal of Taylor Intermediate School for the 2013-2014 school year.

Mr. Luna is a member of The Indiana Association of School Principals and a member of the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association.  He also received the Taylor High School Teacher Excellence Award in 2013.

Prior to Mr. Luna joining the Titan family, he worked for 7 years as a 5
th grade teacher in North Carolina at Third Creek Elementary School, where he used the same passion and energy that we see at Taylor to create a classroom that was full of life and learning.  After graduating with his Masters Degree in School Administration, Mr. Luna was able to obtain a position at Cornatzer Elementary School as their Assistant Principal for one year.

Mr. Luna has also spent time coaching student-athletes both at Taylor and in North Carolina.  After a very successful pitching career in college and playing in two College World Series tournaments, Jeremy began his coaching career as an Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Lake Norman High School in Mooresville, NC.  He was able to help create the foundation for a team that would eventually become a State Champion.   Then upon receiving his position at Taylor, the baseball coaching position came open because of Hall of Famer George Phares retiring.  Mr. Luna was fortunate enough to apply for and be appointed the position of Varsity Head Coach at Taylor.  Mr. Luna was able to lead the team to a sectional title in only his third season as coach, before making the decision to step down from his coaching position in order to spend more time with his family and coach his son’s t-ball and baseball teams.

Mr. Luna’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Central Missouri awarded in June of 2000.  Mr. Luna received his School Administrator License in May 2006 upon completion of a Master of Arts Degree from Gardner-Webb University with a 4.0 grade point average.

But the thing that Mr. Luna is most proud of and passionate about in his life is his family.  Mr. Luna has been married for 13 years to his wife Amy.  Mr. Luna has also been blessed with three amazing children, two sons (9 and 4) and a daughter (7 months old).  When not at school, Mr. Luna loves to spend time with his wife, coach his son’s baseball teams and watch his daughter grow more every day.

Jeremy Luna's Personal Mission Statement:

My mission is life is to create an environment of positivity wherever I work, play, coach, or teach. I will work hard to find the best in situations and people. Ultimately I feel that there is good in all people and situations; you just need to look to find it. Then foster it once that positivity reveals itself. Even when situations or people turn out to be difficult or cause frustration, I will work to find a way to turn it back around and get it/them pointed in the right direction. I believe that every person deserves a chance to prove who they are and what they are about. Regardless of the outcome, I will remain positive, supportive and choose to believe in people and the power of doing the right thing for the right reasons!
